Eluned Morgan, Welsh Assembly Member for Mid & West Wales, has been named Assembly Member of the Year 2017 by ITV Wales. A year on from the European Union Referendum (to remain or leave the EU) Eluned Morgan held a conference on the impacts of the decision to leave which included guest speakers from across Europe including Lord Kerr who is the architect of Article 50.  Over the last 12 months Eluned has brought together a team of business leaders and academics to publish a plan that focusses on developing the rural economy in the light of continued austerity and Brexit negotiations.

Nick Powell, Head of Politics at ITV Wales said: “The judges recognised the AM’s campaigning on Brexit and her proposals to boost the economy of rural Wales.”

Eluned said: ” I am very proud to represent Pembrokeshire and communities across Mid and West Wales in the National  Assembly for Wales where I have already set about putting the economy first, securing support from local communities, the business sector and Welsh Government”.  Our congratulations from all at the Labour Party in Preseli Pembrokeshire on your hard work and the recognition that you have received for it.
